Insurance and billing are increasingly complex processes that we have found counter productive to providing focused time and attention to treatment planning and educating our families about their child and home programs.   

We are pleased to bill your child's services if they are recipients of straight Medicaid, Medicaid Title 19 or Title 21 CMS (Children's Medical Services).  This process can be done seamlessly when you've provided a copy of your insurance card.  It is not uncommon for Medicaid plans to be shifted to alternate plans (HMO's).  As we are not in network for all Medicaid HMO, it is VITALLY important that you notify us immediately of any changes as this will directly effect authorization and billing.  

Due to the extensive number of insurances and ever changing policies on each plan, we recommend you contact your private insurance carrier for details on specific occupational therapy services coverage and any limitations.  We regret that we are unable to bill your private insurance carriers.  However, we are invested in making your process as easy as possible for you to submit your child's claims.  At the end of each month an itemized invoice is generated with services rendered with detailed codes necessary for families to seek reimbursement from their provider.  Many plans simply require this invoice to be included with a form printed off the insurance company website to reimburse the families as per plan specifics.

Families who are self pay and those submitting for insurance reimbursement are provided with as much flexibility as possible.  Patients may pay for sessions at time of service, weekly or at the end of each month.  Each month the balance is expected to be cleared to maintain services. Payments can be made with a credit/debit card (with a 5% service fee), check (made out to Building Beyond Basics - Pediatric Therapy), or cash.
